01 / Behind the product
A real need. A considered solution.
Challenge
In fresh-produce supply the customer, picker, driver, manager and admin each look at a different stage of the same order. Five separate apps multiply cost and inconsistency; a single app has to keep every role focused on its own job.
Approach
Five roles in one Expo app, each in its own route group: the customer gets catalogue, cart, order tracking and notifications; the picker prepares orders; the driver gets a route and deliveries on a map; the manager handles approvals and customers; the admin gets a dashboard, staff and products. The role is resolved at sign-in and navigation is built around it. State uses zustand, styling NativeWind, maps react-native-maps; delivery ends with a small celebration animation.
Result
Catalogue, cart, order preparation, delivery and approval flows were delivered to the client in one codebase for iOS and Android. The screens shown here come from the archived application’s working interface with the source’s demo catalogue.
