01 / Behind the product
A real need. A considered solution.
Challenge
A vehicle catalogue needs organised brand, series, model and year data; opening a separate record per year when the same body carries the same specs for a decade means ten times the data entry. Mobile home content had to be managed from the same place too.
Approach
The Next.js 14 panel manages brands, models, model years, specs and spec categories on Firestore, and home-screen sections are composed here too. After client feedback the year field accepts a range and a range is stored as one record: specs for 2010–2020 are entered once and cover the whole span. Dark theme, React Hook Form and Firebase Admin for server-side operations.
Result
Catalogue and content management for the Garaj mobile product lives in this panel; delivery, release and Firebase notes went to the client as PDFs.
