A real need. A considered solution.
Challenge
A spine procedure is dozens of steps, checklists and confirmations, and each surgeon’s preferences deviate from the standard flow. The team needs the right step and the right surgeon preference instantly in the operating room, and the content has to be editable without a developer.
Approach
Procedures (ACDF, PCF, TLIF and others) are modelled as ordered cards; each card carries checklist and confirmation items, and progress is tracked by card index with completion statistics. Surgeon preferences use a "delta" system: the standard card stays fixed and the surgeon-specific difference is layered on top. Scheduled cases list date, time, hospital and operating room. The app reads from Firebase and content is entered only through the Next.js admin panel; no procedure is embedded in the mobile bundle.
Result
The mobile app and admin panel were delivered to the client; user management, an analytics dashboard and the EAS / Vercel deployment guide were part of the handover. An archive project.
